The Chateau is a fully renovated (summer 2023) retreat located in the picturesque neighborhood of Fort Dupont in Washington DC. This serene and peaceful oasis (inside and out) offers a truly exceptional experience for your stay in the nation's capital!

From the top-of-the-line kitchen appliances, chic modern design, private outdoor oasis, and a plethora of complimentary items - luxurious robes (for 2), body wash, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, snacks, coffee, and tea - you’ll find The Chateau promises an unforgettable stay.

Metro (Train & Bus):

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA or Metro) operates an extensive subway system known as the Metrorail. The closest Metro station Benning Road (Blue line) and is 0.5 miles away (a brisk a 8-10 min walk). There is a Metro bus that also operates from the Chateau to the metro station if walking is not preferred.

Electric, or Manual Bicycles:

Washington, D.C. has a bike-sharing program called Capital Bikeshare, and other independent companies which allows you to rent bicycles/scooters/and mopeds for short trips. Additionally, there are bike lanes and bike-friendly roads throughout the city if you prefer to bring your own bicycle.

Walking:

Washington, D.C. is a pedestrian-friendly city, especially in the downtown area and near major attractions. Take a stroll through Fort DuPont’s 376 acre wooded park was once home to an earthen fort built to protect Washington, DC, during the Civil War.

Any smoking evidence will result in a $250 fee per night. for Oder removal, Duct Cleaning, and furniture steam cleaning and aeration. You are more the welcome to smoke outside in any designated smoking areas. Please do not smoke inside of the suite. There are sensors that can detect smoke in the suite If it is detected, you will be fined $500 per night. You are welcome to smoke outside on the back patio or in the screen porch lounge.

We kindly ask you to treat our home as your own to preserve its pristine condition for future guests and your return visits. Any unauthorized parties or events will result in an immediate cancellation and a $1000 fine.

Please be mindful that there are neighbors on either side of the home & that there may be a guest in the apartment above. Please be sure respect the designated quiet hours of 11 pm to 7 am.

Please note that unauthorized late check-outs will incur a fee of $100 per hour.
